It includes brushing and picking out feet.
What does the on the horse portion of the lesson include?
This portion takes place in the ring or round pen with Peyton. This is when students learn to walk, trot, canter and jump. Ranging from beginners to advance lessons.

Untacking is removing all equipment that was used during the lesson and storing it properly.
What does grooming at the end of the lesson include?
This includes brushing, picking out feet, and hosing off the horse when necessary.
Why do we groom horses before riding?
Grooming before riding ensures that the horse's coat is clean, which allows the tack to sit nicely on the horse and decreases the risk of chaffing. This assists in aiding in comfort for both horse and rider.
Why is it important to groom horses at all?
Grooming has a multitude of benefits including but not limited to, improving skin and coat health, helping the rider and horse bond, and allowing the rider to spot early signs of potentially serious health problems.
